Track List
A “half world” of botanical sounds and surreal impressions assembled as four tracks for Munjebel’s first release on Mesma Records. Oscillating between Ambient, Fourth world and Environmental Music, Demi-Monde is a peaceful yet captivating promenade into organic and percussive synth scapes — melancholic, escapist and contemplative.
Munjebel is the joint project of Royer (Lobster Theremin, Closer) and Aurèle (Demi-Monde, Rinse FM, Cracki Records).

This is the debut release from Munjebel, a project by Royer—who has also released music on labels such as 〈Closer〉 and 〈Lobster Theremin〉—and Aurèle, who heads the label 〈Demi-Monde〉, named after Alexandre Dumas fils’s play *La Dame aux Camélias*. This is a vinyl release from Mesma Records in Paris. The EP features three tracks on Side A and a 20-minute live session on Side B. Organic percussion and electronics. Drawing parallels to ethno-ambient classics such as John Hassell’s *Fourth World* and “Environmental Music,” the release is described as a “melancholic, escapist, and meditative soundscape.” The term “botanical”—a keyword also evident in the artwork—offers a glimpse of common ground with Japanese ambient music artists such as Hiroshi Yoshimura and Inoyama Land.
