The new minimal jazz masterpiece is a free improvisation woven from a dialogue of place, space, and sound, carefully spun as a new dimension of imaginary minimal jazz by Jay Bellerose (drums, percussion), Anna Butterss (acoustic bass), Josh Johnson (alto saxophone, electronics), and Jeff Parker (electric guitar, electronics), each a leading figure in the current L.A. jazz scene. Recorded live at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on August 20, 2025. Recorded by artisan maestro Bryce Gonzales with custom equipment and mastered by Dave Cooley (Elysian Masters).
Like Swimwear 23:37" and "Happy Today 20:49" are two long tracks, equivalent to one side of an LP, that let your instinct to listen to music with your ears attentively guide you through the storytelling of a grand sound story that continues to expand from a static space.
