This is the debut album from Mei Honeycomb, a collaboration between Jordan Czamanski—known for his work with Juju & Jordash—and renowned saxophonist Jeff Hollie, who contributed to Frank Zappa’s recordings in the 1980s. Drawing on sensibilities honed at the forefront of club music, they have created a dizzying, visionary ambient work where soft electronic sounds intertwine with ethereal saxophone.

Featuring Jeff Hollie, an American saxophonist and former member of Burning Sensations who has been based in Amsterdam since the 1990s, this project builds upon the jazz-oriented sound Jordan Czamanski has explored through collaborations such as Magic Mountain High with Juju & Jordash and Move D. Five tracks of evocative electronic “ambient jazz” featuring synth work that shifts between stillness and momentum, and a soaring saxophone that slips in like a shadow, evoking images of a damp city’s night glow or the flickering of an old VHS tape. A profound sound where an inner-trip sensibility coexists with references to outer space. The track “Squeaky Eye Syndrome,” previously included on the compilation *10* celebrating the 10th anniversary of *Music From Memory*, is also featured here. On the live-sounding “Painted Desert Pastel,” Ilya Ziblat Shay—a close collaborator of J&J and known for his work with Michael Banabila—contributes double bass and electronics. The cover features a silkscreen print by Johan Kauth. Mastering was handled by Rashad Becker. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
