This is the second installment of “Surplus Enjoyment,” a series that began with a reissue of rare and previously unreleased tracks by Chris Duckenfield, also known as SWAG.
The second volume of Surplus Enjoyment... This one taking in some fan favourites from the SWAG vaults. Three cuts from 2001 in previously unreleased and re-mastered form. One limited, clear vinyl press.
A1 is “Butterfly (Swag’s Falling Further Dub),” a track he provided to a female singer named Kinobe in the early 2000s. It’s a deep house track with a floating feel, featuring ethereal vocals, emotional synthesizers, and a hard-hitting beat. B1 is an unreleased dub version of a remix provided for Shuffle Inc.’s “Remember Chicago”—a solid tech-house track with a groove that keeps the dance floor moving.
