Los Angeles-based Deniz Cuylan, who composes scores for films and Netflix series, has released his latest work—dedicated to his beloved dog Luca, who passed away from osteosarcoma at the age of five—on the Hush Hush label. Felbm, who has also garnered attention for his appearances with EACH STORY, contributes on flute and vibraphone. Peni Candra Rini’s vocals, rooted in traditional Javanese music, are truly powerful. Additionally, Makoto Kubota contributes a spoken-word piece sharing memories of her beloved cat, Shirasu, who has passed away. Folk, chamber music, ambient, and electronic sounds blend together to create a gentle yet thought-provoking soundscape filled with compassion for all life—from dogs and cats to whales, ants, and even trees. Features a double-page spread cover. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
