This marks the first collaboration between South African-born Alan Abrahams—who has spanned genres from deep house to experimental electronic music under names such as Portable and Bodycode—and the visionary Jan Jelinek. A labyrinth of frayed dance grooves and concrete sounds reminiscent of their masterpieces under the Farben and Gramm monikers. Jelinek’s true genius shines through in his meticulous craftsmanship—electronically processing soulful vocals and weaving them into the rhythm!
Track List

Based on vocal material provided by Abrahams—which Jelinek said evoked classic house music before processing—this album boldly strips away harmonies and rhythms, reconstructing the vocal fragments by interweaving them with concrete sounds and subtle modulations of electronic tones. Led by “Forever”—which begins with jazzy keyboards and soulful vocals, passes through a torrent of noise resembling the fluttering of insect wings, and fades into silence—the album features inarticulate moans that roll into a lighthearted shuffle, leading into a hazy, hallucinatory world in slow motion. A mesmerizing sonic puzzle that compels the listener to follow every gap in the rhythm with their ears. A new release from 〈Faitiche〉. (Original Japanese text by Adachi)
