An unreleased take recorded in 1978 at Jamaica’s legendary Channel One Studios by D-Roy, a leading figure in the London lovers/reggae scene of the ’70s. Side A features a cover of Candi Staton’s “Young Hearts Run Free,” blending Sonia’s cute and fresh vocals with a mix of tough roots steppers and mellow lovers’ style. Side B is a double-sided killer track featuring the twisted, intense, and absolutely amazing dubwise version of “Duppy Dub,” produced by Sean P. —the mastermind behind “Backatcha” who has reimagined countless cult classics—featuring a twisted, intense, and absolutely brilliant dubwise version of “Duppy Dub”! A killer double-sided release—highly recommended! (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
