The track “Clouds,” included on *Les Nouvelles Musiques de Chambre Volume 2*, released later in 1989, became widely recognized as a sampling source for Nujabes, thanks to its distinctive, floating chord progressions and reverberant piano soundscapes. His style was already firmly established on this debut album, blending minimalist piano, free classical, Balearic, and New Age elements to create a unique atmosphere. It’s a sonic experience akin to swimming quietly alone in the ocean at night. A masterpiece. This is a long-awaited reissue—don’t miss this opportunity.
The jacket features a classic tip-on design, recreating the artwork used on the original Bear In Heaven release (Gigi Masin’s self-run label) with reflective silver foil. (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
