Alongside Horace Andy’s “Dance Hall Style,” this is a reissue of Wayne Jarrett’s masterpiece “Bubble Up” (UK release), a signature track from the Wackie’s label. This is a reissue of the 1982 album, released in the U.S. as “Showcase Vol. 1” with a different cover, featuring the exact same content! It’s packed with a string of classics, including a cover of Horace Andy’s “Every Tongue Shall Tell” and the iconic “Brimstone & Fire.” It’s also a treat that it’s presented in the “Showcase Style,” featuring a Disco Mix that transitions from the vocal take to the dub. Experience the charm of Wayne Jarrett, the performances by the Wackie’s Allstars, the synth work, and the mixing and dub magic of Lloyd ‘Bullwacie’ Barnes. The answer to why Wackie’s is so special lies right here. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
