A new release from the “BLACK ROX” series by the genius production group SOFT ROCKS drops for the first time in two years! “This Poem (Roots Unit alternative version)” (sample 1) reimagines “Dis Poem” as 2020 deep house, featuring spiritually expansive string pads and luxurious percussion. “Trenchtown Double Down (Roots Unit Stepping Razor version)” (sample 2), which weaves sparse breaks into the pitch-black groove created by the funk bass, is a high-quality dub house track I personally want to highlight.
