A cartoon pileup of manipulated horns, smashes, saxes, warbles and belches, congesting the tape until it bunches up and gets mangled in the spools. A caution against repeatedly recording over a single VHS perhaps? Archival free jazz interchanges with action film fight scenes, which in turn flicker into images of submarine cockpits and avalanches of smashed crockery. The whole thing jerks, loops, regurgitates and ultimately perishes under the crush of overladen posterity. A fabulous half-hour of bizarre collage and overloaded limits.
