A nostalgic house jam inspired by the disco sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s! BOGDAN RA, the eccentric genius who emerged from the Portuguese underground scene and brings his own unique flair even to remixes, releases the third installment on his label 〈LOVE AFFAIR〉, which pays homage to early Chicago house. This time, he showcases a retro disco vibe that sweetly sways with classic synth tones and vocoders.

A new release from BOGDAN RA—a talent I personally adore—who has already built a large following through his work on the Edit Senka 〈FUNKYJAWS MUSIC〉 series and these self-released digital tracks! “Paramour” (sample 1) is a romantic disco boogie that unfolds lightly while exuding a cosmic disco vibe thanks to its use of a vocoder, and “Fire In Cairo” (sample 2), which mysteriously captivates with its drunken, off-key vocals and acrobatic bassline—its addictive, slightly off-kilter vibe is absolutely fantastic. Although the label focuses on its unique deconstruction of early Chicago and proto-house, this is a great release where his love for disco—which he’s hinted at in his previous work—has truly blossomed.
