With “the conciseness of a haiku” as its theme, this is a stoic soundscape that strips away all excessive ornamentation. Karate Boogaloo, at the forefront of Melbourne’s instrumental soul and cinematic funk scene, releases its third album!

11. We've Lost Something We Can't Replace
A raw, warm sound focused solely on drums, bass, guitar, and Callum Riley’s Hammond organ. A collection of 11 funk “down-tempo groove instrumentals” that are tight and dry, yet hint at a slightly left-field vibe. I feel like this minimalist style has been gaining prominence in the scene lately. It’s fantastic. (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
