“Black Whip” is a classic from the Acid Jazz era, original released in 1991 and now sees its first ever official re-issue on 7inch vinyl. Produced by Colin “Chapter” Thorpe (A Guy Called Garald’s “Voodoo Ray”, Urban Cookie Collective, Lemn Sissay and many more) and with vocals by Aniff “The Verse” Akinola this track exemplifies a vibrant era of Black British Music.

The release of “Black Whip” marks the start of the first ever digital release of the complete album and single catalogue of Chapter & The Verse, starting with their debut album “Great Western Street” on September 25, 2026.
