From the post-bass rave scene on the West Coast comes the 2013 debut release from LA duo CROMIE & SAGE CASWELL. The original "Pyrex" with its deep house wailing over a zumbo tribal beat was great, of course, but the remix by young Detroit talent KYLE HALL (sample 2), which seemed like a mismatch at first glance, is a must-have! sample2) by the seemingly mismatched young Detroit talent KYLE HALL! Since it is a remix, KYLE's tasty sequences are kept to a minimum, and the track is a summery deep house with a flying groove that can be likened to FRED P or DJ QU, with serviceable synths and other elements scattered throughout. GhostOnTape offers a remix (sample 3) that is a bit of an authentic US house development, but with a solid boomin' bass sound. Funky recommendation!
