We’ve just received the new album from Enji, a singer originally from Mongolia and based in Munich, released on the fantastic label Squama—a cutting-edge jazz label based in Germany that continues to break new ground. This is her first album since 2021’s “Ursgal = Урсгал,” one of our bestsellers. Like its predecessor, it was produced by Martin Brugger, founder of FAZER/SQUAMA, and features Fazer members such as Paul Brändle (guitar) and Matthias Lindermayr (trumpet), and other Fazer members, as well as Brazilian clarinetist Joana Queiroz—who has also released music on Squama—and Mariá Portugal, who plays drums on her albums. The charm of these two artists shines through throughout the album, and we look forward to seeing how this collaboration develops.
