The original rarely appears on the secondhand market, and with a going price of around 80,000 yen, it’s a hard-to-find item that gets snapped up by collectors immediately. Personally, this is a special track I’ve always dreamed of owning on vinyl—and I’m absolutely thrilled that it’s finally, finally being reissued for the first time. Many fans likely first discovered Black Harmony—a British reggae/lovers rock female vocal trio active in the late 1970s and 1980s—through their cover of Jean Carn’s popular song “Don’t Let It Go To Your Head.” “Let’s Be Lovers,” released in 1981, is an original song composed by Black Harmony. It’s a fantastic track featuring a dreamy intro with the sound of a flute, the trio’s beautiful harmonies, and a romantic rhythm. You can fully appreciate the playing of each instrumental part, and the B-side version—with its elegant dub treatment—is also wonderful. Don’t miss this opportunity!! (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
