Following the second album *Sacred Love*, released in January 2024 by GALATHEA—a crossover, Afro/Tropical Brazilian atmospheric Balearic deep house project by Catania, Italy-born, Sicily-based DJ ASSIMO NAPOLI—a new EP (featuring 4 tracks), “Ancestral EP,” has been released via Space Echo!!!
Following the release of "Sacred Love" second album by Galathea, Massimo Napoli as he already did for the acclaimed "Samba De Sausalito" offers us 4 totally unreleased tracks released by Space Echo in a single 12" "Ancestral EP".
Mystical and hypnotic atmospheres for "Ancestral" and "Karimabao" an addictive alchemy between African rhythmic elements and contemporary pulsating electronic sounds, in a unique mix suitable for the most sophisticated dancefloor.
Afrobeat groove for "Africa Carnival" which however captures the essence of the Brazilian spirit infused with sensitivity between jazz and funk masterfully performed by Mario Pappalardo on keyboards and not surprisingly reminds us of the famous "Jazz Carnival" by José Roberto Bertrami of Azymuth.
Closing The EP is the track "Sacred Club" an invitation to dance and clapping for a more moderate dancefloor, offers us micro elements of sacredness and mysticism of the African continent.

This album blends meditative, spiritual, and African rhythms—played on bass, synth, Fender Rhodes, the kalimba—all of which are played live—and electronic sounds, creating a hypnotic and highly addictive blend of crossover modern Balearic, Afrobeat, Brazilian, and jazz-funk with a refined dance groove. Drawing on his deep love for jazz and Black music—which has led him to play an eclectic mix of hip-hop and acid jazz—he employs his signature urban-elegant style to seamlessly blend Afro/French Caribbean, Afro-Cuban/Latin jazz/Brazilian, American blues/ gospel and spiritual jazz, among others, into a magnificent Mediterranean crossover, Balearic chill-out sound with organic, tribal grooves that evoke the African continent—all captured in these four tracks.
