Formed by two Europe-based Argentines — multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer Coqui Recaand and guitarist Pablo Miguez — El Calefón was a group of Argentines and Brazilians, most of whom had originally come to Europe as tourists and then kept making music while living there without papers.
