The second full-length album from PICTURE—a side project spearheaded by Aarhus CENTRAL—has arrived! Once again, it comes from 〈SHORT SPAN〉, a label making a name for itself as a key player in avant-techno. Like the previous release, it adopts an approach blending machine minimalism and abstract dub techno, but with the addition of dreamlike tones and a crisp, driving swing, giving the impression of being even more dancefloor-oriented. That signature exhilarating sense of speed is preserved in this double-pack, which takes the danceability to the next level.

PICTURE—a pseudonym of CENTRAL, who not only serves as the flagship artist for the thriving label 〈SHORT SPAN〉 (home to charismatic acts like YU SU and SA PA) and is active as REGELBAU, but also continues to evolve independently in the Danish underground scene while running 〈HELP〉—has dropped a delightful new full-length album with a short runtime! Tracks include “Ziiiiiiiii,” a minimal dub techno track set against a backdrop of soft, floating pad sounds, and “Ruuuuu,” a dub tech track riding a groove brimming with swing.
