Slow techno that uses echo effects to create percussive reverberations and a deep, creeping bassline to lead you into a mysterious world! A slow, downtempo dub track by JAMIE PATON, who has left his mark on iconic alternative labels such as 〈MULTI CULTI〉, 〈EMOTIONAL ESPECIAL〉, and 〈ESP INSTITUTE〉. A hypnotic trip that sinks the dance floor deep into a trance.
Track List
A new release—the first in two years—has arrived from the Leeds-based left-field collective *SPACE RITUAL*, home to mavericks like EVA GEIST and ANDY RANTZEN! Featuring alternative music maestro JAMIE PATON, who has built a following through side projects like CAGE & AVIARY and METAL. “Off World” (sample 1) is a slow-mo techno track where percussive echoes and a deep, creeping bassline overlap to create a swamp-like groove. A double-sided release featuring “Off World” (sample 2), a downtempo dub track that maintains a dark atmosphere while infusing the bass with melody and the beat with a bouncy energy! The echo processing, which makes the sounds feel like a call-and-response, is masterfully executed. (Original Japanese text by Akie)
