A self-produced project by Mistura Pura, who served as a resident DJ in Milan, on the island of Panarea in the Aeolian Islands, and in Sicily from the late ’90s through the early 2000s, gaining immense popularity as a lounge selector. Marking a sharp departure from the Latin crossover style with strong lounge elements featured on his previous work, “Mah’ Wah Funk”—conceived as a tribute to ’70s funk—is a cosmic, ultra-groovy disco-funk track that’s quintessentially Mistura Pura. The other track, “Love Is Full Of Colours,” features an ecstatic track that builds on the flute and mood of the previous release, “Vamo Vive,” while amplifying the groove and psychedelic elements.
