Oscillating between Ambient, Fourth world and Environmental Music, Demi-Monde is a peaceful yet captivating promenade into organic and percussive synth scapes — melancholic, escapist and contemplative.

〈Closer〉や〈Lobster Theremin〉からもリリースしているRoyerと、アレクサンドル・デュマ・フィス作の戯曲「椿姫」から名前をとったレーベル〈Demi-Monde〉を主宰する Aurèle のプロジェクトMunjebelの第1弾リリース。パリのMesma Recordsからのアナログリリースです。A-SIDEは３曲、B-SIDEは20分に渡るライヴセッションを収録したEP。オーガニックなパーカッションとエレクトロニクス。エスノ・アンビエントの古典ジョン・ハッセル「Fourth world」 や、「Environmental Music(環境音楽)」を引き合いに出しながら、「メランコリックで逃避的で瞑想的なサウンドスケープ」と紹介しています。アートワークにも見られるキーワード、ボタニカル(植物的)という言葉もあり、吉村弘やイノヤマランドなどの日本の環境音楽との共通項も垣間見れます。 (サイトウ)
