Drawn in by the melancholic opening track A1, “Note of Mothership” (sample 1)—a gentle, Earth-loving piece from the previously released album *Electronica Dreamy*—I was then treated to A2, “Sincerely” (sample 2), where I could fully savor the artist’s vocals in a style blending folk, electronica, lounge, and moody sounds; (sample 2); A3 “Ayurveda,” an avant-pop/musette-style track reminiscent of Pascal Comrade with its wonderful Donkama rhythm machine sounds; and A4 “M for Mandala” (sample 3) is also deeply compelling. A5 “Rojiura,” a nostalgic, exotic, ambient, and oceanic romantic track that makes you involuntarily rediscover the charm of Pacific231, is simply too wonderful. B1 “Happy Holiday,” with its nostalgic ambient charm and elegant cuteness, brings to mind Daisy World’s earliest days; B3 “Humming ‘Dream of Love’,” where you’re gently enveloped and led into a serene world while soothed by the lullaby-like sound of a music box; B4 “Figlio Perduto,” a beautiful arrangement of the second movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in Italian, and the ambient, classical closing track B5, “Anemo Wheel”—which, though produced in the late ’80s but never released, seems to evoke the era of the album *Coincidental Music*—this collection offers approximately 26 minutes of Haruomi Hosono’s signature dreamlike, gem-like soundscapes.
