The latest second album from Esse Pi Enne, the solo project of Stefano Murgia, an underground artist from Turin, Italy, whose work has appeared on local cassette labels and the UK-based “All Night Flight” scene. This lo-fi music blends echoes of post-rock, a unique take on slowcore, and a certain bedroom-rock charm.

Marking this release, this is the debut release from the independent label “Centro Di Documentazione Metropolitano Torinese,” launched in collaboration with the UK’s “All Night Flight.” An experimental lo-fi folk work that serves as both a personal, introspective record and a documentary of the city. Frayed drums, gritty guitars, languid loops, vocals, turntable-like manipulations, and short sound clips are arranged in a minimalist fashion. Sounds from everyday life—such as the sound of cars driving in the distance and record noise—blend seamlessly into the mix, creating a grayscale mental landscape by this unique Italian underground artist that not only conveys an unsettling and desolate texture but also evokes a gentle atmosphere through soft nylon strings and delicate melodies.
