RICHENEL was a transgender singer who immersed herself in the underground culture born in the ruins and the chaotic punk scene of 1980s Amsterdam, a city rife with social unrest and drugs, performing in cross-gender underground discos. Following the cassette material that made up MUSIC FROM MEMORY's first excavation, this compiles unreleased recordings from her own archive. Proto-house music built on RAW machine beats, with dance-oriented, sleazy vocal performances.
