Australian musician Oren Ambarchi, owner of the prestigious label *Black Truffle*, has released numerous masterpieces and has been actively releasing his own work since the 1980s. This marks the trio’s first release, *Ghosted*, featuring Swedish musicians bassist Johan Berthling and drummer Andreas Werliin, with whom Ambarchi has collaborated in the past. It is a live recording made in one take at a studio in Stockholm in 2018. Legendary jazz musician Christer Bothén—who has also performed with Don Cherry—makes a guest appearance playing the West African string instrument, the donso ngoni. Against the backdrop of Ambarchi’s effects-laden guitar and the minimalist phrases of the double bass, the track ultimately sinks into a drone. It then continues into Parts II and III.
