This album features three tracks created in collaboration with Gabriel Prad, a talented young Brazilian percussion virtuoso making his debut appearance with the group, and Pietro Lussu, a pianist who has solidified a long-standing partnership and plays a key role in shaping the musical identity of this work.
BPM 127: A1 “Galaxy Bloom” features sparkling Afro-Latin percussion and dazzling, jazzy Fender Rhodes/electric piano keyboard work that floats through outer space, creating a crossover-fusion-style deep house groove (sample 1); BPM 116, “Share Your Love” (B1) (sample 2), a crossover beatdown house track in the Brazilian samba and MPB style, featuring the emotive vocals of Brazilian singer Nina Miranda alongside Fender Rhodes and synthesizer by Giovanni Guidi; BPM 113—B2 “Praise To The Sunshine” (sample 3) is also fantastic, a superb track where Gabriel Prad’s Brazilian percussion ensemble delivers a frenzied polyrhythmic groove that pulses alongside Pietro Lussu’s electric piano.
