The A-side track, “My Dream,” features harmonies and clapping that clearly reflect her background as the daughter of a renowned gospel family, along with a keyboard groove that stirs an irresistible emotion—this track is included here in a full-length version that’s longer than the original 1983 release and has never been heard by anyone before. The B-side, “Make The Best Of Your Time,” featuring a light, mellow electric piano and unique tropical breaks, is a completely unreleased track that has seen the light of day for the first time thanks to this “Backatcha” discovery. In addition, a rare EP recorded in 1982—for which Backatcha obtained the license at the request of Harvell Guiton—is also being released. Since the mix differs slightly from the tracks on this album, this 7-inch is a limited-edition release available exclusively on this format. Highly recommended not only for modern soul and rare soul enthusiasts but also for AOR and R&B fans—don’t miss it! (Original Japanese text by AYAM)
