Eden Burns & Christopher Tubbs
Burns & Tubbs Vol. IV
Public Possession
- Cat No.: PP119
- 2026-07-17
A duo made up of Eden Burns, who has built a following with the Big Beat Manifesto series, and Christopher Tubbs of Atlantic Conveyor: Burns & Tubbs. This is their fourth outing on Public Possession, featuring the original, the Heads Down Dub, plus remixes from Detroit's TODD MODES and Colter Carson, who has also been picked up by Big Beat Manifesto.
Guided by the motto "Drums Are Dangerous," yet without any flashy drum programming, this is a groove that carves out its rhythm patiently. The acid-tinged bassline and the slowly hypnotic track are exactly what you'd expect. An EP with four versions: the original, the Heads Down Dub, and remixes from Detroit's TODD MODES and Colter Carson, who has also been picked up by Big Beat Manifesto. Eden Burns’ “Big Beat Manifesto” series. Chapter 11. “Challenge God with Your House,” which feels like a response to the masterpiece “House of God.” It’s absolutely amazing.
A parody and homage to D.H.S.’s “House of God,” a classic track from the early days of UK house. Eden Burns’ explosive groove shines through, sprinkled with the essence of classic house. “Challenge God with Your House,” “House of Fortune,” “Snares of Fortune,” “Snares of Fortune (Mosgiel Mix).” (Original Japanese text by Saito)
