Track 5, "Quixotism (Part 5)" (sample3), even features a session with U-zhaan, Japan's foremost tabla player. Across five sweeping parts, the deadpan pulse of academic minimal electronics intersects with musique concrète sounds, tabla and noise, creating a sound world full of elegance and experimental spirit that draws you in and leaves you spellbound.
The electronic minimal percussion of Thomas Brinkmann, who appears on every track, is extremely effective.
