Ephat was one of Zimbabwe's foremost musicians, living through that turbulent era. Singing of brotherhood, healing, and unity as a balm for the heat of that struggle, EPHAT died suddenly of a heart attack in 2001. To think the mbira, an instrument of nothing but healing sound, carries such a history. Even so, just immerse yourself in this uniquely natural ambient sound world. "When the mbira is played, two worlds—the world of the ancestors and the modern world—become one." EPHAT MUJURU (1950-2001) (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)
