If Haruomi Hosono had grown up in Detroit and listened to The Electrifying Mojo, this is what he would have sounded like. A blast like sunlight. Press play and you'll get a vitamin D boost with Here Come The Lions (sample 1), a groovy, Galaxy II Galaxy-inspired, pitch-driven vocal chop and 808 claps galore on Music Remembers, a Dam-Funk If you like ...Read more (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)d the Garrett project, you'll love this one. Introspective downtempo synths; Whose Water (sample2). A propulsive cosmic track that opens up the dance floor at once.
"Psychedelic Macarena" and New Sun (sample3) explode here.
And based on the unique commentary text by Jeremy, owner of Bar Part Time, this is the current house of the US West Coast California, with its humor, looseness, and good sense of distance from the European techno scene. It's also a house house with a nice distance from the European techno scene, and also an alternative genealogy of west coast house. All the tracks are floor worthy and great for listening!
(Shhhhh)

"A must-have for fans of LIES (circa 2011–2016), Future Times, Young Marco’s *Biology* era, Juju & Jordash, and the Wah Wah Wino scene!"—a unique comment from local crew member Extra Andrew.
The sound, commentary, and artwork all embody a pop-infused, stylish West Coast underground house vibe. In the “Current Indie Dance” commentary, it say ...Read more (Original Japanese text by Shhhhh)s, “These guys are a jam band!” But I think the house music around the PART TIME scene—rather than being rooted in the historical context of New York or Detroit—flows more from the American indie rock-pop tradition, making it accessible even to casual listeners. “Noche Caminando,” featuring Diego Herrera (AKA Suzanne Kraft) (SAMPLE 3), is described as “a unique dancehall beat created with the Roland R-8, layered with the melodic sensibilities of ’80s synth-pop and dub.” it also offers a glimpse into the current mood of the West Coast community—it’s laid-back and relaxed in the best possible way!
