Patrick Cowley, under the alias Megatron Man, produced a cover version by the San Francisco disco group Loverde, and it remains a beloved Hi-NRG masterpiece to this day. This release features that previously unreleased instrumental version on Track A1. Its rough, demo-like quality and experimental spirit lend it an even more intense feel. You’ll catch glimpses of diverse and original synthesizer sounds, ranging from garage punk and ’60s R&B rock in the vein of The Electric Prunes and The Seeds to covers of The Doors’ “20th Century Fox” and The Four Tops. The artwork is also cool, in the style of Dark Entries. (Original Japanese text by Saito)
